Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is a Mexican American sportscaster. She works for ESPN and works as a SportsCenter anchor for news. The first time she worked at ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins was bi-lingual since nine years old a useful ability that allowed her to secure her first position as a production assistant with Univision in Miami and provided her with the opportunity to be a part of the production team for national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Then she was promoted to an reporter at The CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. Her parents divorced soon after and her mother got married to one of the naval architects named Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in 2006. The couple stayed at Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer in which she was provided with an opportunity to work. Antonietta who was in high school with an idea of what she thought her future would be like, visited Mount Union University to see what she could get out of the college. In the end she fell in love with the campus. They also offered her a the opportunity to study a major. She finished school and attended the University as an undergraduate major in media studies. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the manager of WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a member. He inspired her to be self-confident and also his love for journalism deeply affected her. She, in turn, strived to meet his standards and never let him down.
