Ana Celia de Armas Caso was born in Cuba and was raised by Spanish parents. Her career began in Cuba with a leading role in the romance drama Una rosa de Francia. At the age of 18, she relocated from Cuba to Madrid, Spain, and played in the cult drama El Internado for six seasons from 2007 to the year 2010. After the relocation to Los Angeles de Armas landed English actors in the psychological thriller Knock Knock (2014) and the crime comedy film War Dogs (2017).
